The Indian squad for the impending three-match T20I sequence from New Zealand was announced on Tuesday and Rohit Sharma has been named captain of the team. KL Rahul has been appointed vice-captain of the 16-member squad. Virat Kohli, who stepped down from India’s T20I captaincy at the end of the team’s marketing campaign at the ICC T20 Earth Cup, and premier paceman Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the collection. Sources in the BCCI informed NDTV that when numerous senior gamers had been rested, all-rounder Hardik Pandya was dropped from the squad.
