For Isabella, “it signifies power, resilience and womanhood.”
Right after the incident at her school, which took place in December 2020, it sparked a large motion on social media. 1000’s worldwide joined a Facebook group in assist of Isabella, with quite a few putting up photos of their individual ribbon skirt styles.
Isabella’s mom and dad could not be prouder of their daughter.

The monthly bill was introduced by Manitoba Sen. Mary Jane McCallum last March and is at the moment at its next examining.
For Isabella’s father, Chris Kulak, the invoice is an chance to not just honour his daughter, but also the many Indigenous activists who have struggled around the years.
