Former Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh — arrested in a corruption scenario — was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The court docket turned down his request for house-cooked foods. “You consume jail foodstuff first. If not, then I will consider,” the court reported.
The courtroom, even so, accepted his attractiveness for a mattress in watch of his professional medical problem.
Mr Deshmukh, the previous Household Minister of Maharashtra, was arrested on November 2 in relationship with a scenario of funds laundering.
The Enforcement Directorate built the arrest right after questioning him for 12 hrs at their business office in Mumbai.
Mr Deshmukh had stepped down from his post previously this year amid a row above bribery allegations made by former Mumbai prime cop Parambir Singh.
