Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested former Assam Main Minister Hiteswar Saikia’s son Ashok Saikia nowadays in a 1998 circumstance of alleged bank loan default.
Ashok Saikia is the brother of Congress chief and Leader of Opposition in the Assam Assembly Debabrata Saikia.
A crew of CBI officers raided his Dispur residence today and arrested him. Mr Saikia will be offered in a CBI particular court docket tomorrow, they claimed.
